Wedding Day Part XII: Friends and Family Portrait Time!

Wedding Day Part I: The Girls Getting Ready
Wedding Day Part II: The Boys Getting Ready
Wedding Day Part III: The Guests Getting Ready
Wedding Day Part IV: Bridal Portraits
Wedding Day Part V: Moments Away
Wedding Day Part VI: The Processional 1.0
Wedding Day Part VII: The Processional 2.0
Wedding Day Part VIII: Here Comes The Bride
Wedding Day Part IX: The Ceremony
Wedding Day Part X: “You Have Them, Right?”

Wedding Day Part XI: Wrapping Up the Ceremony

All along, I knew that, for me, a wedding "must" was to take a formal picture with each and every one of my guests.

I'm don't want to bombard the hive with all the formal portraits, so here are a few of my favorites:

The joining of the two families.

Our "Stuy" (High School) Friends and Honorary "Stuy" Friends

Us and the lovely Mehrish Family

Me and my lovely bridesmaids

The bridesmaids being silly

Our wonderful bridal party

Aren't fish-eye lenses great for group shots? Here's one with the Lovebirds kissing.

Yes, the formal portraits were time consuming and kinda hectic cuz we had to shuffle people around quickly, but it was totally worth it.  This was the only way I could guarantee that I had a picture of each and every one of the wonderful guests at my wedding. When I look back on this day years from now, I'll clearly remember each and every face that made our wedding so special with their presence.

Are you planning on taking formal portraits with your guests?

i love fish eye lens! they are pretty awesome! we did a group family portrait with all our family like cousins, aunts etc. and i love it! we're all cheering in it hehe. we did end up doing table rounds at the reception which took up some time but im glad i got a picture with everyone and got to say at least "hi". we had about 200 guests so it was the least we could do!!! i am a lil sad tho b/c there are two ppl we don't have any pix with at the wedding b/c they weren't at their table during the time we went around and took pix with each table. =(
